About Sprout & Plot

Sprout & Plot is a small, independent site about first-year vegetable gardening in raised beds, containers and small yards. Every guide answers one beginner question with the plainest working method: how deep a bed should be, what to plant first, when to sow by frost date, how to fill a bed without buying forty bags of soil.

How the site is made

Guides are written from hands-on kitchen-garden practice and cross-checked against university extension advice for frost dates, spacing and crop timing. Dates in the planting calendar are typical zone averages; local extension data always wins.
